It is believed that the custom of making jack-o’-lanterns at Halloween began in Ireland in the 19th century. Turnips or other root vegetables were hollowed out to act as lanterns and often carved with faces. The line of StarFire Prints by @TrendsettersLtd includes a jack-o’lantern by Marjolein Bastin.

Renowned Dutch artist Marjolein Bastin has been delighting us for years with her gentle renderings of the world around us. This StarFire Prints™ hanging glass print features a carved jack-o’-lantern. It makes a great gift for Halloween and other autumn and harvest celebrations. Visit:

StarFire Prints hanging glass are photographic quality prints on translucent glass. Featuring Marjolein Bastin’s artwork, these prints are an elegant way to display. These images are permanently fused into the glass, resulting in a semi-translucent print that captures the natural light, enhancing the color display and making each image a true piece of art. The glass is scratch and fade resistant and arrives to you ready for display.
