Every autumn the quince (a pome fruit, just like pears) in my herb garden drops its fragrant, bright yellow fruits.  Some I collect in a bowl to decorate the house and some I leave on the ground as decoration for the garden.  You can use the fruit for wonderful jellies and compotes, but I think I’ll just enjoy them with my eyes and paintbrush!
