To give additional meaning to a special birthday this year, Marjolein Bastin (1943) will be exhibiting many of her works at the Noord-Veluws Museum in Nunspeet, the Netherlands. The exhibit will feature a broad assortment of her most favorite paintings, including of course her beloved Vera the Mouse! Divided into several spaces, the museum has created an exciting collection that follows Marjolein’s inspirations from her garden to the mountains, the coast, flowers and birds on her birdfeeders. Her watercolors show Marjolein’s ability to capture flowers, plants and the animals that live among them in colorful scenery. Her work reveals an intense love of nature combined with artistry and playfulness. More than one hundred paintings will be on display from September 29, 2018 to March 17, 2019.
