Artist Notes

The little greenhouse in my herb garden is where I keep my treasures. Everything I can’t throw away finds a home there. Watering cans that have developed a leak, feathers, old bird nests, a rabbit skull I found in the garden, some shoulder blades of a Coyote I found in Colorado, vases with cracks in them, a collection of blue enamel pitchers and pots, empty snail shells, an empty wasp nest, seashells, crabs, you name it, all there! Lots more, too. It’s a great messy habitat for the winter wren; nice and dry with lots of spiders.

I love my treasure chamber, full of worthless treasures!
