We’re half way there. Somewhere between summer and autumn; honeysuckle growing on the walls of my studio, lots of flowers and berries. And somewhere between fledgling and adult: the robin.
Young robins have brown spots, that allows them to be less noticeable. But this robin is beginning to get a red chest already. Almost ready.
A part of the robin population will migrate south for the winter. Others, having spent the summer further north, will come down here for the colder months. These shifts cause some serious disagreements over feeding territories!
During this time you can see how ferocious this little bird can be, any bird with a little red is chased off immediately.
